Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 31, 2026
This policy describes the current FerrumVector Email Monitor personal project, operated by Deniz Demir. The email monitor is intended for the owner's authorized accounts. The public website provides project information and does not offer public mailbox connections.
1. Information accessed
With the account owner's consent, the monitor reads Gmail message IDs, thread IDs, sender and recipient headers, subjects, dates, snippets and message body text. It uses the Gmail API permission gmail.readonly. Attachment files are not downloaded by the monitor.
2. Purpose and processing
The information is used to identify job application correspondence, classify application events, maintain a personal application history, detect duplicate messages and identify items requiring attention. Message text is submitted to a locally hosted AI model on the owner's private infrastructure for inference. Google user data is not used to train, fine-tune or improve generalized AI or machine-learning models.
3. Information stored
The private system stores message and thread identifiers, processing timestamps, application details extracted from correspondence, classification results, short supporting quotes, review items and notification-delivery records. OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored separately with access restricted to the owner's operating-system account. The monitor does not intentionally retain complete retrieved message bodies in its application database. Database backups may contain the stored application information and supporting quotes.
4. Notifications and service providers
Selected important events are sent through the Telegram Bot API to the owner's configured private chat. These notifications may include the extracted employer, job title, event type and a link to the original Gmail message. Telegram processes those notifications under its own policies. Gmail access and authentication are provided by Google. Cloudflare hosts and delivers this public website and may process IP addresses, request details and related operational or security data under its own policies.
The project does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. Email bodies are not sent to a third-party hosted AI model by this monitor.
5. Access and retention
Records and backups remain on the owner's private infrastructure until the owner deletes them. No automatic record-expiration period is currently configured. The owner can request removal of stored application records, supporting quotes, credentials and backups by contacting the operator. Revoking Google access stops future authorized reads but does not automatically erase previously stored records or backups.
6. Control and revocation
The account owner can revoke access at any time in Google Account connections. The monitor cannot send, modify or delete Gmail messages with its configured permission. AI classifications can be incorrect; uncertain application matches are held for review.
7. Website cookies and analytics
This static site includes no application-set cookies, advertising scripts, contact forms or third-party analytics scripts. Hosting and security providers may process technical request information necessary to deliver or protect the site.
8. Google API data use
FerrumVector Email Monitor's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
9. Contact and changes
For privacy questions and data-deletion requests, contact support@ferrumvector.com. Changes to this policy will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
